The Wolverines sent a U12 team to the IRB7's tournament at Home Depot center on Saturday and had a very successful outing.  It was the first tournament for all the young Wolverines and they handled themselves well, losing the first game 3 tries to one and winning the second by the same score.

Cody Bahr kept the ball moving at Flyhalf and younger brother Dylan showed flashes of his blistering speed from center and out on the wing.  Hunter Blythe showed great composure at scrumhalf.  Kyle Espinoza and Sean Pawlak played prop like old pros even though they'd just learned the positions. Ohelani Landi and Simaron Mander hooked the ball cleanly and the two nine year olds weren't fazed by their twelve year old opponents.  Jesse Mander also got in a little work at prop before injuring his arm.  Gianni Pink had a great breakaway that nearly ended in a try and Taylor Espinoza ran rings around the opposition.

All the boys played tough defense and had a great time.  The biggest complaint was that we only got in two games... more to come lads, more to come.
